Banjalučanin Igor Račić osvajač je teniskog turnira u Kiseljaku za 2007. godinu. Tada je u finalu pobijedio Aleksandra Marića.Ovaj 37-godišnji boem , kako smo ga odmilja prozvali, radi u Beču, ali trenutno se nalazi u karanteni u domovini. Tim povodom smo ispitali kako vrijeme provodi ovaj bivši tenisač, a sada uspješan trener.
Karantena
"Trenutno sam u lokalnom karantenu Laktaši-Banja Luka jer sam se vratio iz Beča gdje živim i radim.Tu koristim prostor za trening koliko mi uvjeti dozvoljavaju i ovom prilikom bih se zahvalio javno Policiji općine Laktaši na ustupljenom prostoru za sportske aktivnosti", kazao je Banjalučanin za Artinfo.
Na pitanje je li pratio situaciju i napredak teniskog turnira u Kiseljaku zadnjih godina Račić je odgovorio da jeste, onoliko koliko je stizao od brojnih obaveza.

Posljedice epidemije na teniski svijet
Tenis mu naravno, još nije dosadio, te je i svoj radni vijek posvetio bijelom sportu.
"Radim u Beču za akademiju i privatno, najviše sa natjecateljima koji igraju unutar zemlje i po Europi turnire kategorije 14,16,18. Po potrebi radim i sa igralima rekretivnog levela"; ističe Račić.
Situacija uzrokovana koronavirusom zasigurno će se odraziti i na same tenisače, no Račić dodaje da ovaj period može koristiti i za poboljšanje nekih stvari.
"Igrači ce izgubiti tenisku kondiciju , ali drugu vrstu kondicije itekako mogu da poprave u ovom periodu.Ljudi iz tenisa znaju šta to znači. Sigurno da će izgubiti dosta što se tiče samih terena i tenisa, međutim sve su to igrači visokog kvaliteta koji se jako brzo vrate. Pogotovo kad su u pitanju ovi najbolji jer su mentalno spremni."
Posljednji ITF turnir Račić je imao u Banja Luci 2007.godine. Gledateljima u Kiseljaku ostao je u sjećanju zbog jedne zanimljivosti. Naime, Račić je imao veliku podršku na turniru u Kiseljaku, a nakon završenog finalnog meča odlučio je zvati rundu pića publici koja je za njega navijala cijelo vrijeme. Gospodski, nego šta!
