Prema pisanju časopisa Deadline, prve dvije epizode režirat će Karena Evans, redateljica koja stoji iza glavnih glazbenih videa repera Drakea, pa se očekuju velike stvari.
Popularna tinejdžerska serija, temeljena na književnom serijalu Cecilyje von Ziegesar, trebala je ove godine debitirati na HBO-ovom streaming servisu HBO Max, ali je zbog pandemije i globalnog gašenja produkcije snimanje odgođeno, pa je objavljivanje serije pomaknuto najranije za ljeto 2021. godine.
Vijest o ponovnom oživljavanju tinejdžerske drame potvrđena je prošloga ljeta, a tom su prilikom otkriveni i glumci. U ponovno pokrenutoj seriji glumit će Emily Alyn Lind, Whitney Peak, Eli Brown, Johnathan Fernandez i Jason Gotay. Također je potvrđeno da će se Kreisten Bell vratiti kao glas Tračerice.
Detalji serije i službeni opisi likova još uvijek su obavijeni velom tajne, ali nova bi serija, kako se nagađa trebala imati sličnu dinamiku likova kao i originalna serija. Vodeći trojac glumit će Peak, Brown i Lind.

Emily Alyn Lind
Prema časopisu Hollywood Reorter, 17-godišnja Emily glumit će lik po imenu Audrey, djevojku u dugoj vezi koja se počinje pitati kako bi bilo izvan nje. Emily je poznata po ulozi u seriji 'Osveta', prošle godine mogli smo je gledati u psihološkom hororu Stephena Kinga 'Doktor Sleep' i u Neflixovoj horor komediji 'The Babysitter' iz 2017. godine.
Whitney Peak
O ulozi Whitney Peak ne zna se ništa, ali časopis Deadline nagađa da bi mogla glumiti ono što je Serena bila liku Blair, koju će sada glumiti Emily Alyn Lind, ili obrnuto. Peak će nekim gledateljima možda biti poznata po ulozi Judith Blackwood iz Netflixove serije 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'.
